Working as a subconsultant, Lu Engineers provided both Construction Management and Inspection Services on this project for the Battery Park City Authority with the goal of repairing the piles supporting the esplanade in Battery Park, Manhattan. The repair consisted of removing deteriorated concrete, replacing deteriorated rebar, as well as providing Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) jackets and filling the jackets with epoxy grout and cement grout, as necessary. Lu Engineers provided a Team Leader who managed the diving inspection, provided report piles condition assessment, and provided construction management and inspection. The project commenced between April-September 2021.
