Community News

Giving back to the community is one of our top priorities at Lu Engineers. Throughout the holiday season we collected money to purchase household items for the Genesis House; a temporary shelter for youths 16-20 years old. The shelter gives young men and women the skills and support they need to be successful young adults. We donated household items to the shelter which will help these young adults as they venture out on their own.

We also collected socks to send to our men and women serving in the military through our “Joy of Sox” campaign. If you would like to donate socks, we are taking donations all year long. Just stop in to see us at 339 East Avenue, Suite 200 in Rochester!

Lu Engineers Chosen for Local Bridge Calendar & Participating in the 22nd Statewide Conference of Bridges

Lu Engineers is proud to announce that we have been chosen to be included in the 2017 Local Bridge Calendar for the month of September for a photo of the Fisher’s Landing Next Over Mullet Creek. We will also be participating in an awards ceremony at the 22nd Statewide Conference of Bridges.

Caption: Prestressed Precast Northeast Extreme Tee, owned by Jefferson County Highway Department was designed by Lu Engineers and Constructed in 2015 by Acts II Construction, INC. The bridge is located in the Hamlet of Fisher’s Landing on former CR 195 over Mullet Creek in the Town of Orleans. This 65 foot span structure replaced a 1935 era 48 foot span jack arch with field stone parapet walls. The new bridge replicated the parapet walls using form liners and actual capstones from the original bridge.
